The Circular Climbing Collective CiC is a non-profit organisation that creates inclusive and non-judgemental spaces for people to share, connect and support each other while climbing. We focus on supporting peoples mental health and wellbeing through exercise and peer to peer support.
CCC is funded through grants, donations and membership fees. Membership fees are “pay what you can” and give our members access to BMC club membership to protect them when adventuring in the outdoors.
As the cost of living worsens and so does the mental health of our nation, we look to make climbing and our spaces more inclusive. This is why CCC offers fully paid for spaces at our indoor climbing sessions to allow anyone to access it. Also the CCC Club membership costs to get insurance for outdoor activities through the BMC can be fully covered or we offer loan gear for those who do not have access to the correct climbing gear to climb outside. Volunteers require training, bills require paying and CCC looks to grow so your donations are all welcome.
An example of how far your money might go:
- £15 will subsidise a single person’s indoor peer to peer support climbing
- £30 will pay for a CCC Members BMC affiliation, giving them outdoor insurance
- £45 will pay for loan shoes to be used outdoors by members
- £75 will pay for a single climbing rope to be used outdoors by members
- £150 will subsidise ten people’s indoor peer to peer support climbing
- £260 will fund a CWI training and assessment for a volunteer
- £500 will pay for training of a single volunteer to become a facilitator
